Tulum Ruins from the beach

and from the other side

The ruins at Tulum were the first we visited, on the day after we arrived. The ruins themselves are not particularly interesting, but their position is perfect; on a cliff above the sea. As we were staying very close to the ruins we got there as soon as it opened, and had a pleasant surprise - entry is free on Sundays!

Iguana on the ruins

Iguanas fighting on the beach

We saw more iguanas here than anywhere else.

Stucco reliefs of the Descending God.
